Campus Leadership Team: At the campus level, the SBDM committee is known as the Campus Leadership Team (CLT). The purpose of the CLT is to develop campus improvement plans, analyze student performance, approve professional development of the campus and serve as an advisory role in terms of budget, planning, school organization, staffing patterns, and curriculum. The CLT needs to meet at least FOUR times a year and maintain meeting notes, agendas and sign-in sheets (which represent the attendees by name and role). The CLT composition should include at least one parent (that is not a Hays Employee), one community member who resides in the district, one business member, a minimum of four classroom teachers, one non-teaching campus based professional employee and one district-level professional staff member.

If you are interested in serving on the Simon CLT please email the principal Charli Lennon at Your Name and contact information.

  • Taylor Named District’s First Director of Safety & Security

The Hays Consolidated Independent School District is pleased to announce that Phillip Taylor has been named the district’s director of safety and security. This is a brand new position for Hays CISD, which expects to see a student enrollment this school year that surpasses 20,000 for the first time. “Our Board and district leadership decided this summer that we need to have a person whose job is entirely focused on student and campus safety and security,” said Superintendent Dr. Eric Wright. “Given our size and the times in which we live, this position is important, and I couldn’t be more pleased that Phillip Taylor will serve our students and employees in this role.”
