HAYS CISD DISTRICT SPELLING BEE
Congratulations to Helena Respondek for getting 2nd place in the Hays CISD Spelling Bee! She went through 11 rounds of spelling! Sofia Taylor was also a Spelling Bee representative from Negley. We are so proud of both girls!
The district bee, which recently was named honor of retired Hays CISD educator and bee coordinator Karen Sullivent-Adams, featured 41 of the best spellers in grades 3-8 from all elementary and middle school campuses! Competition in this year’s bee was especially fierce as all 41 participants correctly spelled their opening word and advanced to the second round, a first in the history of the district bee!
