Final Exam and Exemption Information

Students will receive exemption forms in their English class on May 7th and May 8th.

Eligibility:

  1. No more than 4 absences during the semester (click here for absence cheat sheet).

  2. No ISS/OSS/ for current semester.

  3. No DAEP for any semester (excluding carryover.)

  4. No obligations (no money owed).

  5. On-Level, Pre-AP, AP: Minimum grade of 85 for semester average.

How many exemptions?

  • Freshman: 2

  • Sophomores: 3

  • Juniors: 4

  • Seniors: 5

Exemption Timeline:

Apr. 30th

Cut off for attendance, obligations, discipline, grades.

May 6th

Teachers receive the spreadsheet with students who meet exemption criteria.

May 7th and May 8th

Exemption forms will be delivered to English Teachers.

Teachers will pass out to students to get signed by their teachers. 

Students begin to turn into counseling center when teachers sign exemption forms. 

May 12th

Deadline for Attendance Appeals. Turn appeals into the Attendance Office. The Academic Dean will review and determine the decision.

May 13th (Seniors only)

Final day for seniors to turn in exemption forms to the counseling center.

May 14th (9-11 grade)

Final day for 9th-11th grade to turn in exemption forms to the counseling center.

May 14th

Teachers will notify Coach Castillo about which student is exempted for FREE Time and Concessions during Exams.
