Veteran's Day Assembly

Dear Veterans, Families, and Community Partners,

On behalf of Moe & Gene Johnson High School, it is my honor to invite you to our Veterans Day Recognition Assembly on Wednesday, November 11, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. in the Moe & Gene Johnson High School gymnasium.

Veterans Day provides a meaningful opportunity for our students, faculty, and community to come together to recognize the courage, commitment, and sacrifices of the men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces.

This year's program will feature MSG Carla Henry, U.S. Army, as our guest speaker, along with the presentation of colors by our Air Force Junior ROTC cadets, a cadet performance of the National Anthem, and special recognition of veterans in attendance.

We are especially proud to welcome Veterans from our students' families, local Veteran Service Organizations, community partners, and leaders throughout the Hays CISD community. Your presence will help our students better understand the significance of military service and the importance of honoring those who have answered our nation's call.

Our newly established Air Force Junior ROTC program, TX-20264, is proud to help organize this special tribute as we build a tradition of service, leadership, and community engagement at Johnson High School.
