On Thursday, Hays CISD students, staff and administrators – many of whom dressed up as their favorite storybook character – welcomed numerous guest readers for the festival, which helped to promote literacy and reading across their campus! A few of our Hays CISD students had a chance to meet Pete the Cat, one of the guest readers of the day, who coincidentally looked a lot like Hays CISD Superintendent Dr. Eric Wright (which, of course, it was!). Superintendent Dr. Eric Wright — a.k.a. Pete the Cat — joined the fun with a morning reading tour, sharing stories and smiles with students at Camino Real, Pfluger, Ramage, Hemphill and Kyle elementary schools.
