We hope you are enjoying your summer break, staying safe, and getting ready for an exciting and memorable senior year!
As you begin your final year of high school, we want to help you prepare for life after graduation by providing the information, resources, and support you need to become college and career ready. Starting the college application and financial aid process early in your senior year will help ensure you have multiple postsecondary opportunities available to you by graduation.
To help you get started, we invite you to attend our College Application Bootcamp on Tuesday, August 4, from 2:00–4:00 p.m. at the Hays CISD Performing Arts Center (PAC).
This event is being hosted in partnership with the Austin Regional Admissions Counselors (ARC), your high school's College & Career Counselor, and the Hays CISD College, Career, and Military Readiness Department.
During the bootcamp, you will:
Learn about the college application process and important admissions timelines.
Receive guidance on the steps you should begin taking early in your senior year.
Gain valuable information about financial aid and postsecondary planning.
Meet representatives from a variety of colleges and universities during a mini college fair, where you can ask questions and begin building connections with admissions professionals.
This is an excellent opportunity to get a head start on your college planning, so we strongly encourage you to attend.
