Hays CISD is proud to share exciting news! Two Hays CISD students have been selected for National Math Stars' cohort.
Solomon Cinthang - 3rd grader at Camino Real Elementary
Troy Jasso - 3rd grader at Science Hall Elementary
National Math Stars is a multi-state program that identifies students with exceptional math talent and provides them with ten years' worth of support to accelerate their education. Each year, thousands of 2nd and 3rd grade students are nominated, but only a small fraction are chosen for this special opportunity.
We're so proud that our very own students have earned these coveted spots! Many thanks to all of the teachers, school administrators, parents, and community members who have helped Solomon and Troy shine so brightly.
As National Math Stars, Solomon and Troy will receive:
Long-term support from 3rd grade through high school at no cost to the family
Weekly one-on-one math mentoring
Advanced math learning opportunities
STEM enrichment materials and opportunities
Invitations to math competitions and summer camps
Please join us in celebrating Solomon and Troy for their hard work, curiosity, and love for math. We know this is just the beginning of an incredible journey!
