  • Hays Clothes Closet

    Some of you have heard about our new Clothes Closet project. We have received a great turnout of donations from our community. We thank you for that. We are now ready to begin the distribution portion. For more information about that, please see the attached images.   • Absence Procedures & Attendance Expectations

    If you miss any portion of a school day, you must bring a note signed by a parent/guardian. The Impact Center expects EXCELLENT attendance from all students. The school must be notified whenever the student is absent. It is the parent’s responsibility to contact the school at 268-8473 ext. 46140 before 9:30 a.m. on the day the student is absent. There is an answering machine at this number in order to give you the opportunity to call the night before the student is to be absent. (Click headline to read more...)

    Applications for free or reduced price meals will be mailed out to all families each year. A self-addressed, stamped envelope will be provided for the return of the application form.   • Graduation 2020 Date Change

    As we all make adjustments in our lives to combat coronavirus – this is a big one for our graduating seniors. Texas State has canceled all events through the end of May. This includes our Hays, Lehman, and Live Oak Academy graduation ceremonies that had been scheduled for May 26, 2020 at Strahan Arena at the University Events Center. We have now secured the facility for June 26, 2020, for our three graduation ceremonies. They will remain at the same times: 10:00 a.m. for Hays High School, 2:00 p.m. for Live Oak Academy, and 5:30 p.m. for Lehman High School. Click "Read More" for additional details!

  • Moreno Named First Hays CISD Fine Arts Director

    Superintendent Dr. Eric Wright announced Friday that Patty Moreno has been selected as the first-ever fine arts director for Hays Consolidated Independent School District. She is a career professional music educator with nearly 30 years of experience. By accepting the position in Hays CISD, Moreno is returning home to the school district where she started in the teaching profession. “We couldn’t be more excited to welcome Patty home,” said Superintendent Dr. Eric Wright. “She knows our district, she has a wealth of fine arts knowledge, and she has the passion it takes to keep our programs among the finest in the state.”

  • Upcoming Public Forums Regarding Potential 2020 Bond

    The Board of Trustees will host three public forums regarding a potential, upcoming bond election for May 2020. [** Jan 11 - MMS ** Jan 13 - DMS ** Jan 15 - WMS **] The goal of the public forums during the development of a potential bond is for the Board of Trustees to listen to feedback regarding the proposed projects. Your comments and questions will assist the Board in deciding whether to call for a bond election and, if so, in formulating the final propositions that would appear on the ballot. Hays CISD is currently considering a bond election for May 2, 2020. The deadline to call for a May 2020 bond election is in February 2020.   • Hays CISD Gifted and Talented Referral Period Opens Nov. 1

    Students who participate in services designed for gifted/talented students will demonstrate skills in self-directed learning, thinking, research, and communication. These skills are often evidenced by the development of innovative products and performances that reflect individuality and creativity. Furthermore, these skills are advanced in relation to students of similar age, experience, or environment. Hays CISD campuses will accept referrals for gifted and talented services from November 1 - 22, 2019. Referrals can be made in two different ways. The first option is to complete an online referral form. The second option is to complete a paper referral. Copies of the paper referral form are available in the front office of each campus and should be returned to the campus counselor.
