  • McCormick Family,

    This is going to be a busy week! We will be conducting benchmark testing for all 3 grade levels. We would like to have have no early checkouts while your child is testing. Testing will be begin at 8:30 am and should end by 1:30 pm. 

    Here is the testing schedule:

    • Monday: 6th/7th Grade Math
    • Tuesday: 6th/7th Grade Reading and Algebra
    • Wednesday: 8th Grade Science
    • Thursday: 8th Grade Social Studies

    This Friday we will have Tiger Day. Students will be able to take part in activities throughout the campus. Tiger Day will be from 1:45-3:30. If you are planning to check out your child early on this day, please notify the front office prior to arriving. This will help us find your child quicker. Any student that received a referral last week or this week will not be able to attend Tiger Day.

    Please take a moment to review our policy for students riding home on a bus with another student:

    • A note is needed from both parties. The student that is going home with a friend AND a note from the friend's parent.
    • Both notes must have a parent signature and a phone number. The campus will contact both parties.
    • Notes can be provided ahead of time for verification.
    • Students will not be allowed to go home with their friend on the bus if we have not had verbal confirmation from both parties.

    This year we are using a system called HERO this year that will keep track of tardy/no id/cell phone violations. We also use this system for Tiger Tickets and positive behavior. Parents are able to keep track of their students tardy/no id violations as well as how many tiger tickets they have earned. Here are the directions: 

    1. You must create an account on the computer first before downloading the ap. Please go to https://herok12.com/. Click on sign in (top right corner)
    2. After clicking sign in, click on the picture that says parents
    3. Click on create an account
    4. Hit submit after filling out the information
    5. Click add a student
    6. Click “no” when the message ask if you have a code
    7. Fill out your child information
    • After you have followed these steps, you can download the AP.
    • Type in your search “HeroK12”. Download the HERO AP that is a blue color (it will say students).

  • 2019-2020 Countdown to Kindergarten Registration Events

    If your child will be entering Kindergarten in the 2019-2020 school year, join us for a campus tour and registration event. An evening tour and registration opportunity will be held Thursday April 25, 2018 from 6PM-8PM at all elementary campuses. On Friday April 26, no campus tours will be offered, but you may still register your student.   • 2019-2020 Two-Way Dual Language Information Meetings

    If your child will be entering Kindergarten in the 2019-2020 school year and you are interested in the Hays CISD Dual Language two-way model, please join us for information on the program expectations, program model, language acquisition, assessment, identification, and notification process. Two dates are set for Science Hall Elementary and Blanco Vista; however, you only need to attend one meeting. The same information will be shared at both campuses so you may attend at either campus.

  • Deadline EXTENDED! - Saturn V Enrollment

    As the new year begins, so does the recruitment season for Hays CISD’s Saturn V program for incoming 4th and 5th grade students.   • NES Races 2019

    The 9th Annual Negley Races presented by Mathnasium of Kyle is Saturday, March 2. Registration starts at $10. Register by Saturday, February 16th to guarantee your race T-shirt! 5K, 3K, 1K, and sleepwalker (shirt only) divisions available. Click headline for more info.

  • High School Cheerleading Tryout Dates & Information

    Interested in being a cheerleader on your high school squad? Hays CISD will be holding several meetings & clinics prior to cheer try-outs. Two clinics will be held for students and will include a mock try-out to prepare for the cheer try-out process. Meetings, clinics & try-outs are for high school cheerleader candidates.
