    Six Flags Read to Succeed is starting - Our school is participating in the Six Flags Read to Succeed Six Hour Reading Club thru your child’s school library program!  Students who read a total of 6 hours and turn in a completed form will earn a FREE ticket to Six Flags Fiesta Texas.  The forms are being issued to students during their next library visit.  Deadline to turn in the completed form is February 23, 2018.  Happy Reading!     Ball Bearings - As a precaution, please ensure your child/children do not bring magnetic ball bearings to school. Please talk to your children about putting small things in their mouth, which can be dangerous and easily swallowed. 

    Yearbook deadline is approaching - The deadline for guaranteeing your FES Yearbook for $ 20.00 has been extended to Friday, Jan. 19th. After that date, the price will be $25.00 The deadline for dedications is Friday, Feb. 2nd. 

    Coffee & Chat for January will be Wednesday the 31st @ 7:30am in the FES Café.

    The "Lost and Found" is getting full - Please come by Fuentes and check our “Lost and Found” for your child/children’s coats, sweaters, and jackets. Please consider writing your child’s name on their clothing. This could prove helpful in getting it back to the rightful owner.

    Girl Start is Resuming - Girlstart is a program for 4th and 5th grade girls at FES that empowers their skills in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math! If your student is already registered you do not need to re-register. If they aren't and they are interested, please see this form. It will give you information on the program, dates, and how to register.

  • Raymond Will Not Seek Third Term on Board

    Hays CISD Trustee Holly Raymond announced Tuesday that she will not seek re-election for a third term as one of the at-large trustees on the Hays CISD Board of Trustees. In a touching social media post to her constituents, she explained that her decision is based on her desire to focus on a new career opportunity with a non-profit organization that provides services for children statewide.

  • Hays CISD to Use Presidents Day for Weather Make Up

    Hays CISD will use Monday, February 19, 2018, as an inclement weather make up day. Hays CISD will operate a normal school schedule on Presidents Day.

  • Family and Community Satisfaction Survey Opens January 8, 2018

    Beginning at 8:00 AM on Monday, January 8th through 5:00 PM on Friday, January 19th, we are asking for input regarding your experience as a Hays CISD family or community member. The survey should only take 10-15 minutes to complete.

  • Student Survey for 6th – 12th Grade Students Opens January 8, 2018

    Beginning at 8:00 AM on Monday, January 8th through 5:00 PM on Friday, January 19th, we are asking every 6th-12th grade student in Hays CISD to give us their input regarding their experience as a Hays CISD student. The survey will only take about 10 minutes to complete.

  • Board Hires Dr. Eric Wright as Superintendent

    At a special meeting Thursday, the Hays Consolidated Independent School District Board of Trustees voted unanimously to hire Dr. Eric Wright as the new superintendent of schools. His contract will begin January 1, 2018. Dr. Wright, most recently the superintendent of Fredericksburg ISD, is a career educator with 29 years of experience, more than half of which as a superintendent of schools.
