    Bobcats,

    We had an outstanding four day week at Barton. Congrats to 6th grader, Cailyn Stoughton, for winning the Barton Spelling Bee today and runner-up, Noah Tso. They will go on to compete at the Regional level.

    Tickets for the Valentine’s Dance are now available on Revtrak and will be available for purchase in the front office on Monday. Tickets are $5 and the dance will be help on February 16th. We will have a PAWS for Fun on February 24th as well. Next Wednesday, Jan 25th, 8th grade Bobcats will walk over to HHS for their high school visit. We will also have a Tie Day dress day on January 27th.

    Reading Plus for 1/23-1/27 for grades 6-8- 4 Reading Lessons

    The following information is course selection info for Parents of current 6th and 7th grade Bobcats……

    Next week we will begin the process of selecting courses for next school year. Current 6th and 7th grade students will receive information about how to select courses and receive a paper copy of a choice sheet to plan their courses to be entered on their Google form for selection on Tuesday in advisory. You are their most important resource in planning, so Ms. Rask, our counselor, is emailing the form link to them now along with the links to the course description information so you can help them select courses this weekend, if you would like to. The Google form is restricted to Hays CISD Gmail users only, so students will only be able to access the form if signed into their district Gmail account.

    Below are the important dates for our scheduling process for current 6th and 7th this semester:

    2/5/23 – Google form for course selection closes

    3/24/23 – 1st Course Verification email to 1st parent contact in TEAMS

    3/31/23 - Course Verification 1 closes

    4/14/23 – 2nd Course Verification email to 1st parent contact in TEAMS

    4/21/23 – Course Verification 2 closes

  • Multilingual Parent Night/Noche Multilingue

    January 24, 2023 from 6:00 - 7:30 PM at Lehman High School * 24 de enero del 2023, 6:30-7:00 PM a Lehman High School * For parents and students in the bilingual or ESL program. Special guest speaker Nestor Diaz.  Topics include: assessments, course selection, mental health services, advanced academics. * Para padres y estudiantes en el Programa Bilungue o de Ingles como Segundo Idioma.  Orador invitado especial Nestor  Diaz.  Los temas incluyen: evaluaciones, selección de cursos, servicios de salud mental, estudios académicos avanzados.

  • Hays CISD Gifted and Talented Referral Period Opens for Kindergarten - 11th Grade Students

    Hays CISD campuses will accept referrals for gifted and talented services from November 1 – 30, 2022. Referrals can be made in two different ways. The first option is to complete an online referral. The second option is to complete a paper referral. Copies of the paper referral form are available in the front office of each campus and should be returned to the campus counselor. *** Las escuelas del distrito Hays CISD aceptarán las referencias para servicios a alumnos dotados y talentosos a partir del 1 al 30 de noviembre. Las referencias se entregarán de dos maneras. La primera opción es completar un formulario en línea. La segunda opción es completando una referencia en papel.
