The Board and Superintendent Student Advisory Panel met for the second meeting of 2021. The following items were discussed:

• Feedback & experiences with registering for PSAT, many students mentioned that colleges are moving away from requiring PSAT scores.
• GPA and how it is calculated, asked students for opinions and they had good options and ideas to make GPA more balanced.
• 2021 Bond; Chief Communication Officer Tim Savoy addressed items on the Bond Overview Information Sheet
• High failure rates and possible solutions/recovery plan
• Students brought up the need for social and emotional learning to combat depression during a pandemic that left many feeling isolated and anxious. Students felt that direct student-teacher communication helped them feel connected and understood.
