Information About a Potential Hays CISD 2023 Bond

Dear Hays CISD Family,

Our Bond 2023 informational webpage is now live at: www.hayscisd.net/bond2023. The Board of Trustees, following a recommendation this month by the district’s Facilities and Bond Oversight Committee, is considering presenting a bond package to voters on May 6, 2023.

Visit the bond page if you would like to comment to the Board or share an idea. In January, there will also be several in-person public forum opportunities. We’ll lock down the full schedule and publish it online early next month.

The legal deadline for the Board to decide whether to call for a bond election, and what would appear on the May 2023 ballot, is in mid-February. After that, voters would be able to cast ballots for or against any bond measures or propositions. By providing your thoughts now and in January, you can help shape what might be in the bond.
