Fighting Fentanyl: Help is Here (Episode 1, Part 2) (English)
In part 2 of the Hays CISD Fighting Fentanyl video series, audiences learn more about the crisis and learn how to reach out for help for themselves, a loved-one, or a friend. Additionally, the video discusses signs of fentanyl use. Hear from those on the front-lines of the fentanyl fight at schools. This video continues Hays CISD’s discussion on the local fentanyl crisis. It begins with Hays CISD School Resource Officer Richard Lozano who shares the devastating impact fentanyl is currently having on students and schools in Hays CISD. Our focus then shifts to Lehman High Principal Karen Zuniga who talks about how administrators are handing the crisis on their campuses. Hays CISD Director of Student Health Services Megan Benthall, MSN, RN, talks about the signs and symptoms of fentanyl use and what to look out for and Maritza Gonzalez, Director of Guidance, College & Career Readiness, speaks to how the crisis is impacting families. The message: Fentanyl is here. We need to talk about fentanyl. And, fentanyl is deadly.
