Jones' 2nd Revels in Phonics Lesson

Words that have multiple meanings but sound the same, such as order and trunk, was the lesson of the day for second grade students in longtime Kyle Elementary educator Kerri Jones' class during our Oct. 29 visit. Students eagerly participated in the exercise as they joined Jones in identifying similar words, known as homophones, and how their meanings differ. From there, students joined Jones in reading a book that centered on chores that children who live on a farm might have.
