“The mission of the Fuentes counseling department is to advocate for an environment that supports success for all students and decreases barriers to learning, allowing students to become advocates for themselves, responsible citizens, and productive members of a global community. In collaboration with other educators, families, and communities we will maximize student potential and enable all students to experience educational success by providing preventative and responsive services in the areas of social-emotional health, academic, and personal development to help students overcome challenges that interfere with learning. Students will believe in themselves.”

    Problem Solving Steps

These problem-solving steps are used campus-wide.  The benefit of this is that everyone follows the same steps, using the same language, and communicating in the same way.

A whole classroom lesson is given at the beginning of the year.  Then, as situations occur throughout the year, we review it with them as needed.
