- JHS opens
- 9th & 10th graders assigned to JHS attend their new school*
*JHS 9th graders (7th graders in 2017 – 2018) and 10th graders (8th graders in 2017-2018) who have 11th or 12th grade siblings at HHS or LHS during this school year can choose to become a transfer student and attend HHS or LHS with their siblings and then remain at that campus for the duration of their four years in high school, or they can choose to attend JHS. Additionally, transfer requests based on programs not offered at JHS may be granted on a case-by-case basis. All transfers are subject to the district’s transfer rules and timelines, and no district transportation is provided for transfer students.- Full academic programing
- Full fine arts programing
- Full career and technical education (CTE) opportunities
- Creation of student clubs, activities, and traditions
- Varsity sports opportunities for individuals
- Team sports compete at sub-varsity level
