Participation in school-sponsored activities is an excellent way for a students to develop talents, receive individual recognition, and build strong friendships with other students. Because students in extracurricular activities represent their campuses, the school district, and their community, they are expected to hold themselves to high standards. 

In addition to complying with the behavior standards in the Hays CISD Student Code of Conduct, all students who participate in Hays CISD extracurricular activities are expected to comply with the guidelines and regulations in the Extracurricular Code of Conduct. In the event this document conflicts with district policy, procedures or state law, the latter will prevail.
