Hi Explorers!

I am so excited to be returning to Tobias as the school counselor for the 2024-2025 school year! I have been in education for 15 years, 10 years as a teacher (4 of which were in 3rd grade at Tobias!) and 5 years as a school counselor. I am very passionate about mental health and teaching kids ways to improve their well-being. I am currently working towards getting my license to be a professional counselor. 

My goal as a school counselor is to help students be successful socially, emotionally, and academically. I value teaching kids how to identify their feelings and learn to self-regulate in order to make good choices and work through problems. I look forward to getting to know all the Explorer students and families at Tobias and working together to help students to reach their full potential.

I enjoy reading, listening to podcasts, spending time with my family, traveling, baking, watching basketball, swimming, and biking. I have a husband and two kids that go to Tobias, one in 4th grade and one in the daycare.

It's going to be a great year!
