Welcome Wolverines! I am excited for the school year! This will be my 13th year in education and 5th year at Hays CISD. I graduated from Texas State University in 2012 with a degree in Special Education and went on to work at Wimberley ISD for 8 years. Over the course of my time there, I taught ELAR and Social Studies as well as coached. I served on the District Leadership Team and was the girls athletic coordinator at Danforth Jr. High. I earned my master’s degree in educational leadership in 2019 from Lamar University. I made the jump over to Hays CISD in 2021 and worked at McCormick Middle School. In my time there I was an ELAR Interventionist, Special Education Team Lead, and was a part of a 7th grade team that showed amazing growth on the STAAR Test.
I joined the Wolverine Family in 2024 as the 6th grade Assistant Principal. I feel a deep sense of gratitude at being able to work with our staff, students, and parents. I am so excited to continue our growth and ensure that our students know we are here to help them become the best version of themselves.
On a personal note, I am a lifelong resident of Hays County, graduating from Wimberley High School in 2008. I continue to support Texas State as a season ticket holder for many of the athletic programs. In addition, I also have season tickets to the San Antonio Spurs, and even named my dog, Elliott Gervin Carter, after some legends!
