Welcome to Sunfield Elementary School, Home of the Stallions!

As we embark on a new academic year, I am delighted to extend a warm welcome to all our students, both returning and new, along with their families to our school. It is with great anticipation and excitement that we begin this journey together. I am dedicated to build upon the core beliefs and goals of Sunfield as we strive to increase student achievement and develop a passion for lifelong learning. We are looking forward to an amazing 2025-2026 school year, where classrooms will be full of learning activities and ideas that challenge and inspire our Stallions!

Professionally, I have 29 years of experience in education as a teacher, instructional coach, and administrator. For the past 24 years, I have been a part of the Hays CISD community as both an educator and a parent. 

Sunfield is a neighborhood school in the heart of an expanding and culturally rich community. Our students exhibit engagement, curiosity and a desire to contribute to the community and world in which they live. Our campus embraces being respectful of others and welcoming to all. Our exemplary Sunfield teachers work hard to create an exceptional learning environment for our students.

This year we look forward to continuing our journey as a Leader in Me School. We believe everyone can be a leader, everyone has genius, change starts with me, students can lead their own learning, and school-parent partnerships are essential to develop the whole child. 

Building relationships and communication is important to me as your school principal. We encourage families to get involved by joining our PTA, volunteering at school activities, and taking an active role in each child's education. Parents are a child's most important teacher. It is my desire to keep a sustained focus on student learning, creating safe and nurturing environments and setting high goals to empower our students to strive for excellence and enjoy coming to school each day. Elementary school experiences are the pathway for a lifetime of learning.
