LHS supports the development of punctuality as a responsible characteristic for learning. Students must be in their respective classroom/location as assigned by their classroom teacher before the Tardy Bell sounds.  Tardies (particularly excessive tardies) could adversely affect a student’s eligibility for exemptions and other school functions/activities.  Tardies will be recorded by students’ teacher of record and the LHS attendance/admin office followed by consequence(s) according to below. 

Teachers will follow this progression:

• 1st offense: warning documented in TEAMS as CMB and marked tardy in TEAMS

• 2nd offense: parent contact, document in TEAMS, and mark tardy in TEAMS

• 3rd offense: student is assigned a mandatory tutorial with that teacher based on teacher tutorial schedule, document in TEAMS, mark tardy in TEAMS

  • If student is a no show, write a referral for no show and their 3rd tardy

• 4th offense: referral for excessive tardies
