Parents and Guardians,

I am thrilled to be the School Counselor at Hemphill Elementary! Go Hawks! The counseling program at HES consists of four components: guidance curriculum, individual planning, responsive services, and system support.

As the School Counselor, I will be going into each classroom for guidance lessons. We will complete lessons from Cloud 9, our Social Emotional Learning Curriculum, which covers topics that build on Character Education. During these lessons we learn new skills while having fun in the process.

I also provide students with Lunch Bunch Groups which focuses on building healthy relationships, social and coping skills in order for students to be successful. Parents will be provided with a permission slip if you are interested in your child participating in our group sessions.

Students can self-refer themselves to me by using my referral link on my virtual counseling office or by asking their teacher. If you feel your child needs support, please reach out to me and I can see students individually or check in with them as needed. A parent referral link can also be found on my virtual Counseling office.
