Hello! My name is Lynsey Brown, and I’m thrilled to serve the Carpenter Hill Elementary community. Originally from Harlingen, Texas, I attended Texas State University, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. I spent 15 wonderful years in the classroom, followed by 3 years as a Math and Reading Interventionist. After completing my degree in educational leadership, I served as an assistant principal in Austin ISD.
Throughout my career, I’ve been driven by a deep passion for teaching, learning, and helping students grow. I believe every child has unique strengths, and I’m committed to encouraging them to explore, take risks, and reach their fullest potential. Supporting students on that journey—and celebrating their growth along the way—is what makes this work so meaningful.
Outside of school, I enjoy running, walking our dog, and spending time with my family. We love the outdoors—whether we’re heading to the beach, exploring new places, or simply enjoying time together outside. My family, my biggest cheerleaders, have supported me through countless 5Ks, 10Ks, five half marathons, and one full marathon. Their support reminds me daily that effort and consistency lead to growth—something I strive to model for our students every day.
I’m dedicated to building strong relationships, fostering a positive school culture, and creating a learning environment where all students feel safe, supported, and empowered to succeed. I look forward to partnering with you this year and can’t wait to see you around campus!
