Hello Cub Families!

I’m Ms. Lumbreras, and I’m proud to serve as the Assistant Principal at Cullen Elementary! I started my journey in Hays CISD at Negley Elementary in 2020, and I’m thrilled to continue to be part of the CES community.

The 2025–2026 school year marks my 14th year in education! I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies (EC–6) from Texas State University and my Master’s in Educational Administration from Concordia University. I began teaching in Austin ISD, working with grades Pre-K, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and even supporting 5th grade virtually during COVID. Before joining Hays CISD, I also served as an Assistant Principal and Personalized Learning Coach in San Marcos CISD.

Outside of school, I’m a proud mom of two amazing sons, both proud graduates of Hays CISD. They are the light of my life and the reason I’m so passionate about helping every student thrive.

As Assistant Principal, my mission is to support students by empowering our teachers. I lead with a team mindset because I truly believe we’re always better together. With creativity, flexibility, and a shared purpose, we can remove barriers to both teaching and learning. Every decision I make is rooted in what’s best for kids and I’ll always be on the side of Cullen Cubs learning, growing, and reaching their full potential!

I can’t wait to get to know more of our families this year and am so excited to continue growing alongside this incredible school community for many years to come.
