One of the enduring strengths of Hays CISD has always been a commitment to community, where the word “neighbor” still means something. One of the best ways to be a neighbor is to ensure that each one of our students has every opportunity to succeed, no matter their background or circumstance.
HaysHope2Go is a project to alleviate hunger among our students who are most in need. Food insecurity is a major barrier to having students focus on their work in class on their way to reaching their full academic potential. With our community’s support and generosity, the Hays CISD Clothes Closet, our volunteers, and our amazing community partners are ready to take on poverty and hunger for the benefit of the children in our district.
Summer 2020 Information
HaysHope2Go will continue to work through the Summer to provide assistance to families in need. We are offering boxes of food for families in urgent need. We also have a limited amount of personal hygiene items, cleaning supplies, formula and diapers. Campus administration, counselors, teachers and CIS are able to refer a student in need.
Please send us an email to:
HaysHope2Go@hayscisd.net with the following information:
- students’ names,
- verified address,
- working phone number
- how many in household
We will contact family and schedule drop-offs on a set date at end of their driveway with no contact. We look forward to working with you and your staff in providing at least a little assistance to families in our community.
