Who: 4th – 8th grade students in Hays CISD

What: Hays CISD Honor Choir Spring Auditions! To audition, sing a song of your choice. For example: Rocky Mountain, Liza Jane, Above the Plain, Come Thru Na Hurry, Are you Sleeping, Tideo, or a short excerpt from your choir music.

When: Tuesday, January 14, 2025, 5-6pm
Students will be auditioned in the order they arrive. After students audition, they can leave and parents will be emailed with the results by the end of that week.

Where: Hays CISD Performing Arts Center, 979 Kohler’s Crossing, Kyle, TX 78640

Details: Rehearsals will be held every Tuesday from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. at Barton Middle School. The Honor Choir will perform at public events throughout the semester and compete in the Hays CISD Choral Contest in May. Parents are responsible for providing transportation. Students who are consistently late to rehearsals or exhibit disrespectful behavior to other students, the directors, or district staff will be dismissed from the group.

Teacher Reuse is a non-profit providing free reusable resources for teachers to use in their classrooms.

Teacher Reuse collects resources from retiring teachers, community members, and businesses and makes them available to teachers for free. We have a small storefront in San Marcos. We are continually receiving new donations; and we need teachers to shop for free resources!

Teacher Reuse is located in the backyard of the city building at:

Open most Saturdays (not Dec. 21st) from 10am to 4pm.

Teachers must register online to provide proof of employment before arrival. With our space constraints, only classroom teachers are permitted to shop.
