Marivel Sedillo
Chief Academic Officer
Marivel Sedillo is a passionate leader with 25 years of vast educational experiences, more than half of which have been with Hays CISD as various times in her career. Her success as an instructional and transformational leader speaks to her ability to inspire, cultivate relationships, and lead with unwavering courage and vision. She has a deep appreciation of human relations, and for teaching and learning. She attributes her success to focusing on and monitoring the needs of teachers, students, and staff members; curriculum and instruction; implementing sustainable systems of support; fostering relationships; nurturing a culture of risk-taking; and challenging the status quo to transform educator effectiveness. Marivel earned her bachelor’s and master’s degree from Texas State University and is committed to completing her doctorate in Educational Leadership.

Max Cleaver
Chief Operations Officer
Max Cleaver graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. After serving in the United States Army as an engineer platoon leader, he received his Master of Science in Environmental Studies from Baylor University.
Max has 23 years of public school operations experience in five Texas public school districts. He has held various operations positions, including: environmental specialist in Copperas Cove ISD, executive director of facilities services for Killeen ISD, executive director of facilities and operations for Temple ISD, and the chief operations officer for Fort Bend ISD. Max began working as the chief operations officer for Hays CISD in February 2018.

In my career, I have practiced and studied communication from a number of vantages – as a television reporter, a spokesperson for two fast-growth school districts, and as the communication director for a state agency. Christina Courson
Chief Human Resources Officer
Christina returned to Hays CISD in April 2023, as the chief of human resources.
Christina Courson has served the youth and families of Texas for over two decades at the Texas Juvenile Justice Department, Lockhart ISD, and Hays CISD. After serving 11 of those years for TJJD, Courson committed herself to the front end of the youth-serving continuum by transitioning to public education to ensure that students have the best possible start in school and are prepared for lifelong success.

Dianne Borreson
Chief Technology Officer
Ms. Dianne Borreson has served Hays CISD for more than 30 years as an elementary teacher, the district’s first campus technologist and now as chief technology officer.
In 2001, Ms. Borreson assumed the leadership role in the technology department. Her primary responsibilities include: local area network infrastructure, wide-area fiber network connectivity, wireless infrastructure, software support, workstation support/helpdesk, telecommunications, security/surveillance, Management Information Systems (MIS), Student Information Systems (SIS) and strategic and long-range technology planning.

Jeri Skrocki
Chief Safety & Security Officer
Jeri Skrocki is an architect of Hays County’s standard emergency response protocol for schools and has been lauded by the governor’s office for her work.
In 2018, Skrocki was recognized by Governor Greg Abbott for her role in helping to coordinate a county-wide standard response protocol in Hays County. This practice was extolled as a model that should be adopted in counties statewide. She was also included as a member of the governor’s roundtable discussion team that evaluated school safety solutions following the deadly mass shooting at Santa Fe High School.

Randall Rau
Chief Financial Officer
Rau brings to Hays CISD nearly 30 years’ worth of finance, budget, business management, purchasing, payroll, inventory, risk management, accounting, and auditing experience. He has most recently been serving as the chief financial officer for Wimberley ISD, a neighboring district to Hays CISD, and has been in that position since 2009. He also served as Wimberley ISD’s business manager from 2001 to 2007. Additional school district experience includes work at Madisonville CISD and Austin ISD. He also worked as director of accounting at the State Bar of Texas and has been a staff accountant for two private auditing firms.
