Hello! 

I have been teaching ELA for 9 years, and I have been teaching in Hays CISD for 7 years. 

I am an avid reader, and my favorite kinds of books are murder mysteries, horror/thrillers, and a good love story. I love to binge shows, watch horror movies, and listen to true crime podcasts. 

I love ELA and reading because I wholeheartedly believe that books and stories can teach us about life, humanity, and human nature. I also think that a good book can transport you to other places, especially places that you may never get to see in your real life. I believe that your English classroom is a great place to learn to communicate and be more empathetic as well. 

I look forward to meeting my new students each year, and I cannot wait to spend the year with y'all!
