JHS National Honor Society
The Johnson HS chapter of the National Honor Society was established in 2020. The purpose of the chapter is to create enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote leadership, and to develop character in the students of Johnson High School.
NHS Membership FAQ’s
- Selection is made by a faculty council based upon scholarship, character, leadership and service. Once selected, it is the member’s responsibility to continue to demonstrate these qualities.
- Members of the sophomore (after the fall semester) and junior classes are eligible for selection. Candidates must have a minimum cumulative grade point of 3.5 in Johnson’s 4.0 point scale. Students who meet the minimum cumulative GPA will be invited to apply in the spring semester. Eligibility is then considered on character, leadership and service.
- The membership selection process shall take place during the spring semester to be followed by a formal induction ceremony to become an active member.
