Hays CISD Student Device Program

Hays CISD issues iPads to students in Pre-K through first grades, and Chromebooks for second-graders through high school seniors!

Parents can opt-in or opt-out of participating in the device program by completing the Technology Permissions Form in Student Online Registration.

Need to Change Your Form Response?

If you have already completed Student Online Registration, the system will not allow you to change your form response to opt-in or opt-out of receiving a device. Please download and complete the Technology Permission Form (English, Spanish). Email your completed form to your child’s campus. Your form responses will be updated in our system.

Interested in Device Protection Insurance?

Hays CISD offers an optional protection plan for district-owned devices to cover accidental damage or theft. Plans range from ten to forty dollars, based on your child’s National School Lunch Program (NSLP) designation.

Online Meal Application

Transportation Services

If you need to change the transportation option you selected on the Transportation Request Form in online registration, please contact your child's campus to update your form.  Forms must be updated through your campus and not the Transportation Department. Your completed form must be emailed to your Campus Registrar, not the Transportation Department.

Immunization Reminders

Students entering 7th grade are required to have certain vaccine boosters. Your child will not be allowed to start school at Hays CISD until he or she meets the vaccination requirements. If you are unsure if your child meets these requirements, please contact your school nurse or physician.

Sign Up to Receive Alerts

Parents must sign up to receive general alerts such as principal messages and other campus and district news. Emergency alerts are automatically sent to all parent/guardian contacts; no sign-up is needed.

If you did not click the checkbox in online registration to receive general alerts, follow these steps to sign-up:

1. Log into your Parent Self-Serve (PSS) account at hayscisd.net/pss.
2. Click on your student's name.
3. Select the "Edit Contact Info" tab.
4. Click the "Alert" checkbox next to your phone number.
5. Click the "Submit Changes" button at the bottom of the screen.

Repeat this process for each of your students.
