Ms. Rivera was born in Mission, TX. She received her B.A. degree in Spanish and Psychology from Texas State University in 2015 and her M.Ed in Educational Leadership in May.

After graduating from her undergraduate program she worked for the Department of Family & Protective Services as a Family Based Safety Services Specialist. In 2016, she joined the Hays CISD District as a Spanish teacher at Jack C. Hays High School where she assisted in professional development for teachers, supported student success, and initiated Action Research for improvement in her craft.

She is the Assistant Cheer Coach at Moe & Gene Johnson High School and teaches Spanish II. Her current interest is developing a healthy climate and culture that fosters a community of learners and educational leaders.
