Welcome to Chef Zschiesche's Intro to Culinary Arts and Culinary Arts Class.
I am so excited to be a part of the Jack C. Hays High School 2019-2020 family. I will be teaching Intro to Culinary Arts and Culinary Arts Rm C223.
My family has been in the Restaurant/Bakery business since 1942. I have worked in the industry since I was 10 years old taking a break to join the United States Navy in 1992. After the Navy I became certified and worked as a Paramedic in San Antonio, Texas for 6 years. In 2009 I opened a bakery in Garden Ridge, Texas. and in 2010 I attended St Philips College in San Antonio, Texas where received my AAS in Culinary Arts. In 2013, I started a Food Truck/Catering business which developed into a Bakery/Café located in Schertz, Texas, and in 2016 I attended Texas State University where received my BS in Family and Consumer Science.
