Sally Durant, RN & Carolyn Ramirez, LVN

  • Sally Durant, BSN, RN

Hello! I'm Sally Durant, RN, the lead nurse on campus.  Prior to becoming a school nurse, I spent 11 years in Navy medicine as an Independent Duty Corpsman (IDC).  I graduated from Texas State University with my BSN and I have two small children in the Hays CISD school district. Community health is a passion of mine ever since working with the Marines.  I enjoy caring for and seeing the same faces regularly, while concentrating on maintaining good health within our student body.  I'm very excited to start this journey with Hays High School.  Please reach out to me if you are ever in need of help.

     Carolyn Ramirez, LVN

My name is Carolyn Ramirez, LVN and I have been employed with Hays CISD since 2005, specifically at HHS since 2007.   I graduated from the LVN program at Sul Ross State University in Alpine, TX in 1998.  I have two children who have attended Hays CISD since their kinder son is a 2018 graduate from HHS and my daughter is currently a student at HHS.  From cheering on our favorite sports teams, to outings on the boat for a fishing trip...I enjoy every second I get to spend with my family!  I look forward to a great year!

Welcome back!! We're excited to see you! Remember to stay updated on current recommendations for coronavirus, including hand washing, covering coughs, and remaining home when feeling sick. In an abundance of caution, parents/guardians of students with medical conditions or special needs should proactively check with their doctor for recommendations on how to proceed, in the event that a COVID-19 case should arise in the area involving your child. Remember to get flu shots, cough and sneeze into your shirt to contain bacteria/viruses, wash your hands, and stay home when sick!
