Tammy Le, RN

  • My name is Tammy Le and I'm new to Carpenter Hill Elementary this year! I am excited to be a part of the Carpenter Hill family and look forward to supporting the healthcare needs of our fantastic school. I graduated with my Bachelor's in Nursing from Texas State University and have experienced serving patients and their families in various healthcare settings. Most recently, I have served as a Charge Nurse for the Cardiology Unit here in Seton Kyle.

School nursing is a professional registered nursing specialty that involves identification, assessment, prevention, and intervention to remedy or modify students' health needs. The nurse's goal is to promote the optimum health of students and the students' abilities to achieve their individual educational goals.I am excited for the opportunity to care for your child and will provide exceptional care and keep you informed and a part of our team.

Nurses monitor required immunizations, perform mandated health screenings, track communicable diseases, plan for emergencies and provide direct care to students. Please use the links to the left to learn more about the Hays CISD District Health Services. I would like to assure you that medical information about your child is treated as confidential by the nurses and all school staff. We do not share information about your child with outside parties nor can we discuss health concerns of any other student with you.

Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns, you can find my email and phone number below. I look forward to hearing from you!

Let's have a great 2020-2021 school year Colts!

News from the Nurse

  • Clothing Donations Needed

Accidents happen regardless of age that require a change of clothes.  Spilled food, nosebleeds and unable to make it to the bathroom in time are just a few of the reasons our students need an extra outfit.  We try to have a variety of sizes on hand to help get students back to class.  Our Clothing Closet in the clinic is always in need of gently used pants/shorts.   Elastic waist clothing is preferred as it fits a variety of sizes and is free of snaps/buttons/zippers which can be difficult for some students.  Donations are always welcome.
