Hello Blanco Vista Wild Cats!
If your child is expericing illness, I invite you to fill out this form to help me keep track of what is going around campus.
Any students experiencing one of the following symptoms - loss of sense of taste/smell, cough, fever (100 or higher), vomiting, and/or a combo of the following headache, sore throat, fatigue, body aches, chills, nausea, diarrhea, nasal congestion MUST follow the Covid-like illness policy and obtain a Covid PCR test result before returning to school. Any student with a fever (100 or higher) I do recommend also getting tested for Flu during Flu season (October through March). Please forward all test results to the nurse or attendance prior to their return. If your student is not vaccinated against Covid and someone in the home tests positive, please contact the school nurse for information on the policy for their quarantine.
If Covid/Flu negative - your child may return once they are 24 hours free of fever/vomiting/diarrhea without the use of any fever reducing, antidiarrheal, or antiemetic medications. For gastric illnesses I do recommend keeping them home until they are able to tolerate regular food without experiencing vomiting/diarrhea/severe stomachache.
