Welcome Families!
I am Nurse Traci, your child’s school nurse. I have over 30 years of experience as a registered nurse with this being my 4th year as a nurse with Hays CISD. My background is in Pediatric Hematology, Oncology, Rheumatology and Allergy/Immunology. I grew up in New York but have made Texas my home for the last 30 years. I live in Martindale with my husband, daughters and several fur babies.
My role as the school nurse is to support our students' education by promoting and maintaining good health, as well as taking care of acute injury and illness when it occurs.
School nurses perform required health screenings, monitor state-mandated immunizations, and help maintain the school population's health through identification of potentially communicable diseases. You'll find more information on these and other school-health-related topics in the links on the left side of this page. Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions you may have regarding school health or your student's individual health needs.
