Dawn Baker, RN and Pam Jordan, LVN

  • Hello all,

My name is Dawn Baker and I am so fortunate to be the Johnson High school nurse.  For those of you who don't know me I will give you a little history. I was born and raised in Massachusetts and moved to Texas about 13 years ago.   I have been a nurse for 20+ years in all kinds of nursing, my most recent was high risk labor and delivery in a Boston Hospital.I have been working for HAYS CISD for the last few years as a substitute nurse and this will be my sixth year full time with the district.  I am so fortunate to have the opportunity to work at such an amazing high school with such a dedicated staff that encourages growth.

I have two children, a husband and a dog.  Family is where it is at for me, and where I can usually be found.

I am really excited about this opportunity to work at JHS and help our teens navigate the next few years of their life.

Please feel free to reach out to me with questions and or concerns any time.

Looking forward to a great year and meeting your children.

    Hello Johnson Jags!

My name is Pam Jordan, LVN and this is my 5th year with the Jag Family! My family and I have lived and worked in the Hays community for over 20 years.  I have two boys....Bayler graduated from Trinity University in San Antonio with a business degree and is getting married this year. Case graduated from right here at JHS and is very busy working. I love to go camping, kayaking, hiking and just spending quality time with my friends and family.

I have been a nurse for many years, the majority of it spent in pediatrics, my love.  Before my position here, I worked for a local Pediatrician and I am so excited to see students that were my patients!  I am so fortunate to have been welcomed with open arms by the wonderful staff here, and I look forward to a great year with your kiddos.

    Senior Parents!!

Will your student be turning 18 soon?  The Texas Department of Health and Human Services has a state immunization registry known as ImmTrac.  Children under the age of 18 have their immunization automatically added to the system BUT once a child turns 18 their immunization record is removed UNLESS the 18 year old completes the attached form and returns it to their school nurse or the Texas Department of Health and Human Services.

Students 18 years and older will then be able to access their records for the rest of their adult life.  This is helpful for those going off to college, entering healthcare fields of work, or need to know when their last tetanus shot was.  This registry can be pulled by any healthcare facility in the state of Texas.
