I am a husband, father of three girls and recently a grandfather to our second baby girl. I absolutely love teaching math. It surrounds us in our daily life and has been a big part of mine for years. Prior to becoming a teacher, I had a career as a Navy Nuclear Submariner. Eventually, I transitioned to Norfolk Naval Shipyard where I worked for ten years refueling submarines and aircraft carriers. In both jobs, my ability to use math was an everyday thing. For fun, I love to spend time in the outdoors rock climbing, mountain biking, fly fishing, and kayaking. I am also the Head Tennis Coach here at JHS. I have spent the last two summers in the Adirondack Mountains of upstate New York teaching tennis at a summer camp to 7 - 18-year-olds. I am very excited about this year and all the new students I will meet.
