Veronica McBeth, RN

  • I'm happy to be back for another year here at Science Hall. I live in the Kyle area and have 4 children of my own along with 2 fur babies. My favorite hobbies I enjoy are crafting, going to the movies, gardening and painting classes in my down time. I look forward to another successful year.

Please keep your student home if they are showing s/s of illness (fever 100 or above, vomiting and diarrhea) and can return when symptom free for 24hrs without the use of any medications.

News from the Nurse

  • Health screenings- (state/law requirement) Each year we have wide vision and hearing screenings for PK, K, 1st, 3rd, 5th grades; as well for students in SPED or receiving other services. Acanthosis Nigricans screening for 1st, 3rd and 5th grades will also be done. Please email me for any questions regarding screenings or if your child loses/breaks their glasses and you  need help getting an exam/new pair.

Please do not send medications to school with students to have in their belongings for them to take during the school day. Medications will be needed to be brought to nurse to keep in clinic for safety. Any medications to be given longer than 10 days will need parent /physician authorization form and not expired with it's original prescription label. For short term medications less than 10 days, we will need parent authorization and label instructions will be followed.

As a friendly reminder, please send your student(s) with an extra change of clothing for any possible accidents that may occur during the school day in order to avoid interrupting classroom time.
