Student Registration

Using the Student Registration System

New Students

  • Welcome to Hays CISD!
    Enrolling your student is as easy as 1-2-3:

    1. What campus will your child attend?
      Students must attend the campus where the student’s home address is zoned. To find the campus your child will attend, search attendance zones by street name, use the Attendance Zone Maps, or call 512-268-2141.

    2. Register your child!
      • 2016-2017 School Year: Print and complete the 2016-2017 Hays CISD Enrollment Packet (linked below). Or you can pick up an enrollment packet at your child’s campus.
      • 2017-2018 School Year: Parents can register new and returning students using the Online Registration system during open registration dates (see registration event dates below). Print and complete the 2017-2018 Hays CISD Enrollment Packet (linked below). Or you can pick up an enrollment packet at your child’s campus.
    3. Complete the enrollment process
      Take your completed enrollment packet (if you did not register online) and the documents listed below to your child’s campus to complete the enrollment process. View our Documentation Requirements Guide (linked below) for more information.

      • child's birth certificate
      • child's social security card (optional)
      • child's immunization records
      • proof of guardianship if needed
      • child's withdrawal form/last report card (if available)
      • parent's driver's license
      • online meal application confirmation number 5 digit code - if applicable (linked here)


Returning Students

  • We look forward to another great year!

    1. See the Registration Events below to register your child online for the 2017-2018 school year.
    2. Do you have a child who will be a new Hays CISD student? You can add your new student to your account and register them online at the same time you register your returning student.
    3. After you complete online registration, you will receive a confirmation email with important back-to-school information.


2017-2018 School Year Registration Events

    • Kindergarten Registration – Opens April 27, 2017. Online Registration will open at 7:00 am to allow parents to register before the evening event. Parents also have the option to register their children during the Countdown to Kinder evening event. (Click here for Kindergarten Registration details)

    • Pre-Kindergarten Registration – Opens April 27, 2017. Parents must first complete the online Pre-K Qualification Form. Once you receive an email confirmation that your child pre-qualifies or is pending qualification, log into Online Registration to register your child. Parents also have the option to complete the Pre-K Qualification Form and Online Registration during the Pre-K registration evening event. (Click here for Pre-Kindergarten registration details)

    • Online Registration for New & Returning Students – Opens July 1, 2017 for all students.

    • Districtwide Registration – August 5, 2017 at Lehman High School. Parents from all campuses are welcome to register in person, complete the enrollment process by dropping off documentation, visit with campus staff, and more. Additional information and services related to special programs, school lunch, immunizations, and after-school care will be available at the event.


How to Access Online Registration

  • Parents access the online registration system using their Parent Self-Serve (PSS) user ID and password.

    New Families

    If you have never had a child enrolled at Hays CISD, you are a new family. Click the “Create PSS Account for New Family” link on the Online Registration login page to create your PSS account. Once you create this account, you will be able to login to the system and complete online registration process.


    Returning Families

    If you currently or previously had a child enrolled at Hays CISD, you are a returning family.

    If you currently have a child enrolled and do not have a PSS account, please visit our Parent Self-Serve webpage to create an account. If you cannot remember your account information, please contact your child’s campus or email Student.Registration@hayscisd.net to reset your password.

    If you previously had a child enrolled, please email Student.Registration@hayscisd.net for account set up.



    Employees who have TEAMS access must use their computer login/LDAP username and password (given to you by Technology) to log into Online Registration.

    Even if you have never had a child enrolled in the district previously or used Parent Self-Serve (PSS) in the past, do not create a new PSS account. You must use your computer login/LDAP account credentials.
