  • Each year the Hays CISD community is offered a wide array of activities for students during the summer. This page lists the current opportunities of which we have been made aware. Please peruse the list to see if there is something right for your child.

    Note: The opportunities on this page are not necessary school sponsored or vetted. Please read the following important information:

    Listings are offered as a service to Hays CISD students and families, student organizations, PTAs, booster clubs, the Education Foundation, and certain other organizations.. Listings must either be school-sponsored or directly benefit students. Hays CISD posts listings at its discretion. Some listings in this document are from organizations not officially affiliated with Hays CISD. The district cautions everyone to research each listing independently before making a decision to enroll your child. The contact information for those in charge of the event will always be listed with the event. Please reach out to those individuals to resolve any questions you may have.

    June 10-July 26:  Lobo Athletic Camps (various sports, 3rd-9th grade)

    June 10-July 31:  Lobo Strength & Conditioning Camps (various sports, 7th-12th grade)

    June 17-20 & July 22-25:  Drip, Drip, Splatter Splash Art Camp (current K-5th grade)

    June 7-21:  Kid's Kollege Art Camp at Texas State University (6-12 years old)

    June 18 & 20, July 9 & 11, July 16 & 18:  Autry’s Artists Summer Art Camp! (ages 7-10)

    LHS Theatre has two different summer programs - We will be doing a week long kids camp June 24-29 for kids ages 7-12 with the show The Little Mermaid Jr. The cost of camp is $185. Additional campers in the same family are $150. All information is on our website and facebook page Lehman High School Theatre. They also are looking for Junior counselors, students that are going into 8th grade or incoming 9th graders to the LHS feeder pattern for the Kids Camp! This is a half day position. Lobo Theatre will also be doing a community summer play.  Auditions will be in May of this year, rehearsals will start first week of June every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00-8:00PM. The performance will be in July. This is open to people of all ages!

    July 8-12 and July 22-26: Donavan Tech Camp (1st-5th grade) - coding, pixel art, animation, Minecraft, games, and fun (link)

    July 15-18:  LHS Summer Dance Clinic, 9:00 AM to Noon, K-8th grade. Click here for camp information. For information, please email Barbara Stangler.

    July 15-18 and July 22-25: Summer by the S.T.R.E.A.M., (K-5th grade)

    July 15-19:  Camp Invention, (K-7th grade) Camp Invention is a great STEM Camp that will take place this summer, July 15–19 from 9:00 AM–3:30 PM at Barton Middle School. The camp is for entering K-6th graders, and any Hays CISD staff member get a $30 discount. We do have other areas of camp where 7th -9th graders can attend as LIT (Leaders in Training) and will be helpers but will also participate in the camp. We will also need 10th -12th grader Leadership Interns to help directly in the classrooms with the teachers that will receive 40 hours of service. K-6th grade Campers $230 - $30 for HOST code = $200, 7th-9th grade LITs = $130, 10th – 12th grade Leadership Interns = Free and receive 40 Service Hours

    July 29-August 1:  LHS Middle School Cheer Camp, times are 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM for all feeder middles schools, but they will also welcome other schools. For information, please email Vanessa Banuelos.
