Attendance criteria for earning an exemption:

Students must have had no more than 4 qualifying absences this semester.  View the attendance code chart for qualifying absences by clicking the Attendance Codes tab.  There is a grade criteria as well.  Please see link below for complete information about exemptions.

Students need to be diligent throughout the semester to ask teachers about absences in question.  The attendance office must have something in writing from the teacher in order to change an absence.

Documentation of an absence must be given to the attendance office within 5 days of the absence in order to excuse it. (absence must qualify as an excused absence)  Parent notes received after the 5th day will go on file, but the attendance code will not be changed.
