Facilities & Bond Oversight Committee (FBOC)
-
The purpose of the citizen’s Facilities and Bond Oversight Committee (FBOC) shall be to help develop Hays CISD bond proposals and ensure bonds, as adopted by the Board and approved by voters, are implemented on time, with quality, with transparency, and within budget. To aid the committee in accomplishing its purpose, the district shall engage the committee in its planning for future facilities and major capital expenses (such as new construction, major maintenance projects, roof and air conditioning replacement, technology upgrades and replacement, and bus fleet expansion and replacement).
2022 Proposed Bond
-
Beginning in August 2021, the FBOC held a series of meetings to discuss the need for a future bond election. The discussions began with a presentation of the district’s demographic projections and future bonding capacity. At the FBOC meeting on December 1, 2021, the group reached consensus on a proposed May 2022 bond to address continued rapid growth in Hays CISD. The proposed $115 Million Bond has four items for voters to consider.
