Hays CISD is excited to announce the district is expanding its Pre-K program to offer you and your child more! Beginning in August for the 2019-2020 school year the district will move from half-day to full-day Pre-K. Additionally, the district will increase the number of Pre-K service locations from seven to ten, so that more students can attend Pre-K at their home elementary campuses. Pre-K is an outstanding way to help your child prepare for kindergarten. If your child lives in any Hays CISD elementary school attendance zone and meets the federal guidelines to qualify for Pre-K, you can enroll your child for free.
In Hays CISD, the purpose of summer reading is to encourage independent reading at all levels through reinforcing comprehension skills and exposing students to a broader view of the world.
