    Summer Camp Description: Dream Mighty Dreams

    Rock, Paper, Scissors, Shoot! Discover how to program your own game, design and launch rockets, explore circuitry with bristlebots, and become a master code breaker! Girls will dream mighty dreams as they discover primate characteristics, create light up super armor, try innovative technology, and, most importantly, discover ‘STEM is Everywhere.’

    Camp Logistics:

    • Camp week: June 14-18
    • Camp Location: Tom Green Elementary (1301 Old Goforth Rd, Buda, TX 78610)
    • Time: 9:30am-2:00pm; drop off from 9:00-9:30am & pick up at 2:00pm
    • Registration forms are due by Monday, June 7th
    • Lunch: Girls will bring their own lunch

    The Pfluger Destination Imagination team finished in 4th place in the Next Level Technical Challenge and are advancing to State! What an achievement! The Pfluger DI team includes
    Club Sponsor - Jackie Bittner and Students - Drew Smith, Jeffrey Olaes Jr, Luis Sevilla, Daniel Duffy, Carlos De La Cruz, Josue De La Cruz, and Sofia Niemie.

  • Mrs. Muro to Lead Uhland Elementary School

    Hays CISD Superintendent Dr. Eric Wright announced Monday that Amanda Muro, current assistant principal at Uhland Elementary School, will serve as the new principal for the campus. At a special meeting on Monday, the Hays CISD Board of Trustees approved the hiring decision. Muro has 13 years of experience in education and has been a part of the Hays CISD family since 2017.

  • Hays CISD Board is Among 15 in Texas Nominated for Outstanding School Board of the Year

    The Texas Association of School Administrators (TASA) announced Thursday that 15 school districts across the state have been selected as regional nominees for the 2021 TASA School Board Awards. Committees of TASA members organized by Texas’ regional education service centers review the nominations and select up to two school boards per region for consideration for the state-level awards – one with fewer than 1,000 students and one with 1,000 or more students. Hays CISD was the only Board selected to advance from Region 13, which includes Travis, Williamson, Hays, and a dozen other central Texas counties.

  • Dr. Medina Named New District HR Chief

    Hays Consolidated Independent School District (Hays CISD) Superintendent Dr. Eric Wright is pleased to announce the selection of Dr. Fernando Medina as the district’s new chief human resources officer. On Monday, the Hays CISD Board of Trustees unanimously approved hiring Dr. Medina. He will replace Marivel Sedillo, who was promoted in May to the district’s deputy superintendent and chief academic officer roles.

  • Lytle Named Wallace Middle School Principal

    At the June 2, 2021, board meeting, the Hays Consolidated Independent School District (Hays CISD) Board of Trustees approved hiring longtime Hays CISD educator Joanne Lytle as the new principal for Wallace Middle School. Lytle has worked Hays CISD for more than a decade. “I’m very happy to announce our selection of Joanne Lytle as the new Wallace principal,” said Superintendent Dr. Eric Wright. “She is a valued part of the Hays CISD family; and, during her years of experience as an administrator, she has developed a strong sense of leadership, high expectations for student success, and a talent for bringing out the best in her staff.”
