Our Peer Mentoring Program where older students mentor younger students is part of the Ready, Set, Teach program to grow our future Hays CISD educators. Student Mentoring is also available through our Supportive Peers Mentoring Program in which students develop relationships and support students with disabilities or students who need extra support to achieve success in high school. The curriculum is derived from the peer tutoring model in which successful, upper-level students instruct and encourage their peers in learning successful academic skills, developing appropriate social behaviors, enhancing self-esteem and improving peer relations.
