I was born and raised as the child of an educator in the DFW area and graduated from Grapevine High School in 2000.  I attended Texas State University where I enjoyed playing rugby and graduated with a degree in Criminal Justice.  I then attended the Victoria College Police Academy and upon graduation,  served as a Juvenile Probation Officer in Victoria Texas which is where I found my passion for working with young people.  With of hopes of transitioning to the education field, I returned to Texas State to pursue a Master’s Degree in Education.  Following graduation in 2009, I began teaching at Simon Middle School in Hays CISD and served in several different campus roles including Instructional Coach and Assistant Principal.  In the fall of 2018 I was given the opportunity to join the Lehman faculty as an Assistant Principal where I am fortunate to work with an amazing faculty and engaging students.

While not at work I enjoy anything involving the outdoors, attending live music events and spending time with my wife and our dog.

I am thrilled to be part of the Lobo Family! I consider myself very fortunate to be part of a team that truly cares about its students and their success.

Prior to joining Lehman, I taught at the Elementary and Secondary levels and most recently was an Assistant Principal at Negley Elementary in Hays CISD.

Education was not my first career, but it is definitely the one that I am the most passionate about. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix and I obtained my Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from Texas A&M, College Station.

My goal as an administrator is to make a positive difference in the education of our students.

I am here to serve you, so please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns.

Lobos, I am Marco Pizaña, and I am excited to join Lehman High School. In 2003, I began my career as a Correctional Officer for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Division and rose through the ranks as a Sergeant and Lieutenant. In 2014, I began a new career at Pharr San Juan Alamo ISD and later at Hays High School, teaching Criminal Justice. For the past few years, I have continued to work with HAYS CISD as the Career and Technical Education Internship Coordinator.

I grew up in Los Fresnos and graduated from Los Fresnos High School in 2000. I received my Associate's degree from Trinity Valley Community College in Liberal Arts. After receiving my undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree and Masters of Science degree from the University of Texas Pan-American in Criminal Justice, I pursued my interest in education and graduated from the University of Concordia-Texas with a Masters in Educational Leadership.

As an Assistant Principal, I am passionate about promoting all academic content and ensuring that educators build professional teams through collaboration and teamwork. My goals are to motivate and inspire students to pursue their dreams and desires. I believe that partnerships with parents and community partners are essential to enriching the experience at Lehman High School. During my free time, I will be fishing, playing music, singing, reading, and spending time with family. Follow on Twitter @pizanamarco
