Welcome to Sunfield Elementary School, Home of the Stallions!

It is my honor to be your student’s principal this year. I am dedicated to continuing to build upon the foundation and goals of Sunfield as we strive to increase student achievement and develop a passion for lifelong learning. We are all very excited about the 2024-2025 school year, where classrooms will be full of learning activities and ideas that challenge and inspire our Stallions!

Professionally, I have 28 years of experience in education as a teacher, instructional coach, and administrator. For the past 23 years, I have been a part of the Hays CISD community as both an educator and a parent. 

Sunfield is a neighborhood school where students are engaged, curious, and reflective about the community and world in which they live. Our campus embraces being respectful of others and proud of the different cultures that make up the Sunfield community. Our amazing Sunfield teachers work hard to create an exceptional learning environment for our students. This year, we will continue our journey as a Leader in Me School. We believe everyone can be a leader, everyone has genius, change starts with me, students can lead their own learning and we need to partner together to develop the whole child. 

Building relationships and communication is important to me as a leader. I look forward to getting to know our Stallion families and students this year! We encourage you to get involved by joining our PTA, volunteering at school activities, and taking an active role in your child's education. You are your child's most important teacher. It is my desire to keep the focus on student learning and doing whatever it takes to help ALL our students be successful and enjoy coming to school each day. Elementary school experiences should pave the way for a lifetime of learning.
