Hello!!

 My name is Brent Torrey and I am excited to begin my third year here at THE Johnson High School.  This will be my 22nd year teaching here in Texas.  I graduated from Louisiana Tech University with a B.S in Environmental Science and a M.ED in Elementary Education.  I am certified to teach grades 1-8 (generalist) and high school math.  I started out teaching many years ago at Rhodes Middle School in SAISD, but have spent the majority of my career at the high school level.  This year I will be teaching Statistics and coaching Freshmen Girls Basketball.

My wife, Dr. Miranda Torrey, is a dentist in Austin and I have 1 child at Texas State and 2 children in the Hays CISD community.

 I have been blessed in my career to work with great administrators, coaches, teachers, students and communities.  I cannot say enough how excited I am to be working in this incredible culture here at Johnson.  Everybody on this campus cares about your child and wants the very best for them.  I can't wait to meet you!!!
